Learning 2.0

A few months ago Helen Blowers the Public Services Technology Director with the Public Library of Charlotte Mecklenburg County (PLCMC) conducted the Learning 2.0 Program as a fun way to get the library’s staff to experiment and learn about web2.0 technologies and their uses in libraries. At the time I was deep in my last semester of the MLIS program at UNCG so I bookmarked it in del.icio.us and put it on the shelf to explore later on. Well now is the time. As it happens, the The Emerging Technologies Group at McMaster University Library is launching a similar 12 week program, Learning 2.0 @ Mac, starting today. What a perfect opportunity to tag along and pick up some new ideas. I’ll be writing about the activities, here, as I go.
